There was not a Perl SDK for AWS and, as we are heavy AWS users, we needed native Perl support for all AWS services. So we developed Paws, a data-driven open-sourced SDK that takes advantage of modern Perl. Discover the perks of using Paws and contribute!
I'm glad to announce that, again, we are sponsoring the Perl Toolchain Summit. Until this year, this coding workshop was known as the Perl QA Hackathon, a series of annual events. It is our second year sponsoring the “Quality Assurance” Perl Hackathon, and last year we even sent one of our Perl engineers to work hands-on with the rest of the participants.
It’s that time of the year again. The opportunity to travel somewhere new in Europe to attend “Yet Another Perl Conference” (YAPC), to join its community for a few sunny days, attend some great Perl & non-Perl talks and do some tourism while we’re at it.
I'm proud to announce that we are sponsoring the 2016 Perl QA Hackathon. The "Quality Assurance" Hackathon is a place where outstanding Perl hackers reunite for 3 days to talk about the Perl toolchain and get stuff done. These are not the only days that the toolchain is worked upon (it's worked upon all year, really), but face to face work and discussions get things done and agreed upon faster, so it's important that this event happens.
The city of Granada will be hosting the next edition of the YAPC::Europe 2015, and some of our engineers will be there sharing their knowledge and experiences about Perl, DevOps and SysOps with the Perl community.
