In this 25-minute webinar you’ll learn how to use Application Load Balancers.
Webinar: AWS for newbies – ALB
Welcome to this fourth webinar of our “AWS for Newbies” series. In these webinars, Javi Moreno, Resident Futurist & Evangelist at CAPSiDE, helps you avoid the most common mistakes when it comes to deploying your first app on the AWS Cloud.
(If it’s your first time around here, don’t you worry! We keep repeating our previous webinars and soon you will also have them on-demand)
Now that you know to set up a VPC, let’s move to Application Load Balancers (ALB). Application Load Balancers are one of three types of load balancers that AWS Elastic Load Balancing or ELB supports. A load balancer is responsible for distributing incoming application traffic between various destinations in several availability zones. This allows increasing the application’s availability, being able to add more listening agents to the load balancer.
Thus, on this occasion, Javi Moreno will introduce you to ALB functioning and will carry out a demo on how to set up one. Before starting, you should make sure you have a virtual private cloud or VPC with at least one public subnet in each of the availability zones used by your destinations.
In addition, you will be able to comment with Javi any doubt you may have along the way and access the webinar later, to review what you have learnt.

The webinar will take place on November 15th from 12:00 to 12:30h.
