Granada will soon host the first edition of esLibre 2019: the event on Open Source knowledge and technologies led by experts and nostalgists of HispaLiNUX congresses. esLibre 2019 will be a meeting point for communities and individuals interested in this kind of tools. And, together, we will share our respective experiences in this Andalusian city. You just can’t miss it!

esLibre 2019 is a day to promote the exchange of knowledge, to connect with the Open Source community and enjoy the technical environment the occasion offers. The esLibre space will be divided into five rooms, where you will find over 20 talks on Open Source technologies: from Dev + Web, Big Data, Machine Learning and automation to digital sovereignty… among other topics.

CAPSiDE at esLibre 2019

Within the activities that will take place in esLibre 2019, CAPSiDE will be participating in some of them through our CTO. José Luis Martínez, who is also an Open Source contributor and a very active person in the community, will be leading two sessions of the day.

His first talk will be from 10:15h to 10:55h at the Devroom 3 of the event, dedicated to Perl. At “Being cloudy with Perl“, José Luis will guide you through various Cloud services, analysing protocols, how these work and what Perl libraries work best for consuming them. You will also see how to make Perl applications on Serverless with AWS Lambda.

In the afternoon, from 16:00h to 16:45h at Track 3, at the room on Big Data, Machine Leaning and Cloud, it will be time for the talk “Flying high with your Kubernetes applications”. In this session, José Luis will introduce you to a very curious historical anecdote. As you follow the storyline, he will help you define your Kubernetes goals, how to prepare your team for change and realise how to achieve great things with small pieces.

EsLibre2019 will take place at the ETSIIT in Universidad de Granada, next June 21st. Even though it’s an open access event, a prior registration is needed to estimate the number of attendees. You can sign up for it on this link. And if you cannot attend this esLibre edition, you can keep up on the details of it through their Twitter account.

Come and learn more about the world of Open Source! EsLibre 2019 is the ideal date to connect with the Spanish Open Source community. We will see you very soon at Granada’s ETSIIT!
